Mohsen Ahmadvand was born in 1982 and was predominantly inspired creatively by the 1990s. Mohsen received his BA in painting from Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Tehran, Dubai, Paris, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York and London. He prefers drawing to painting for its efficiency and directness; his satirical themes are a mix of present day events acted out by characters of the past. The composition and detail of his works demonstrate the influence of the Persian miniature painting tradition.
