Zahra Shahcheraghi (b. 1989 Tehran) is an Iranian artist whose work resembles a modern approach on abstract expressionism.
Inspired by the imaginations and curiosities of her childhood, Shahcheraghi attempts to portray the concealed layers of the private sphere through the experience of womanhood. Imaginations that fade in a whimsical aura of vapor, combined with an arranged chromatic palette and the use of abstract and figurative elements narrate the artist’s personal perception of the female body and her journey of self-discovery. Zahra Shahcheraghi had her first solo exhibition with O Gallery in April 2021 and was presented by Mariana Custodio Gallery at Contemporary Istanbul 2021.
